Study on Microstructure of Muddy Intercalation Using SEM Method

چکیده

Muddy intercalation is one kind of rock’s secondary structural surface, where the failure of instability between strata occurred. Mechanical behaviour of muddy intercalation directly affects the stability of the rock mass. Starting from the micro-structure of Muddy intercalation, revealing its macroscopic mechanical characteristic is of great significance to the stability and optimization design of rock mass with Muddy intercalation. The microstructure pictures of muddy intercalation microstructure can be got through SEM and processed by MATLAB. And then, we’ll get the micro pore structure characteristics of Muddy intercalation, establish the porosity characterization equation and give the porosity, particle size distribution, mineral composition of Muddy intercalation. The research of Muddy intercalation is of great significance to rock mass engineering design and stability analysis.
